4 Tips for choosing nursery wall art

By Amy Wright | May 18, 2022

Do you have a baby on the way? If so, we bet you’ve been spending some time prepping a nursery for your little one.

We know this is an incredibly exciting time for your whole family and you likely want the nursery to be perfect for the arrival of your child. Your baby’s room is where they will grow, from baby to toddler to child. So it’s important to create a space that can grow with them for years to come.

No matter what your personal preference is, custom nursery wall art will instantly foster a positive space for you and your mini. Here are our 4 top tips for choosing nursery wall art.

1. Pick art that you like to look at

Yes, this bedroom is for your baby. But your baby won’t be able to enjoy the wall art for at least a few years. So make sure you choose art that you find comforting and enjoyable to look at. Think beachy vibes, abstract art, inspiring quotes, etc,.

2. Choose art that they will grow into

This will likely be their bedroom for years to come, so stay away from wall art that is too baby-ish. Instead, opt for something that they will grow to love the older they get. Think neutral tones, family photos, animal photos, etc,.

3. Mix and match

Can’t decide on a theme? Don’t worry. Gallery walls are popular for a reason! Feel free to mix and match framed prints, canvas prints, family photos, pieces of art, etc. The easiest way to make sure all these random pieces work together is to choose one or two colors that are displayed in all of the pieces!

4. Don’t overthink it

This is supposed to be a fun experience, so don’t get too stressed when it comes to designing the perfect space for your baby. Have some fun with it. Choose colors and prints that catch your eye and remember that nothing is permanent so you can change whatever you like on a whim.
