From the moment Ali Jardine got her first iPhone in 2009, she knew that iPhoneography was her passion. Today she shoots and edits using her iPhone 4s. It's a challenge that constantly pushes her to think in new ways and keeps her eyes open to the world around her. Ali has been featured in numerous blogs and publications, including National Geographic online, Leveled Magazine, KIOSK magazine and Le Nouvel Observateur. Her art was showcased at the Animazing Gallery in NYC in March 2012, and most recently at the LA-MAF in Santa Monica Art Gallery.
Of Light and Shadow
I am an idealist and a dreamer. My photographs take the viewer into my private dreams, transporting them on a whimsical trip from reality. I use color and subject matter to stir the viewer's emotions and to bring back images and experiences from some long forgotten memory. My greatest influences are Frida Kahlo and Max Beckmann, and my images are painterly and focus on form, lines, and perspective.
